Fox News Unfair in the Balance
0
January 19th, 2008PoliticsWhat is going on with Fox News? Fox News used to consume a major portion of my time, as I watched the channel starting with Bill O’Reilly and wouldn’t turn the TV off until after midnight. I was a staunch defender of Fox News at the time, now I wonder if I was brain washed, as many times I would doze off while the news segments were running.
Now I have some proof of this, their constant hypnotic affirmations of “Fair and Balanced” have proven to be untrue. Over the summer I became a Ron Paul supporter, mainly due to my disaffection with overly groomed politicians and Ron Paul’s desire to rid America of the IRS. This support has caused me to take a more critical look at Fox News, since they have established a pattern of minimalising Ron Paul.
The proof keeps flowing in, in the form of barring him from a debate and now the coverage of the Nevada Caucus. Here is a test; Take a glance of this Fox News coverage of the Nevada Caucus:
Now that you have taken a look, who is winning? If you guessed Romney, you score one point. Who is coming in second at this point? If you guessed McCain, you score another point. Who is coming in third? If you guessed Huckabee, you lose 10 points, because you are yet another Mass Media Moron. Ron Paul, at this point in the tabulation of votes is in third, with Entrance Polls having him come in second.
Why would Fox News show Huckabee instead of Ron Paul? Good question, maybe I’ll blog about that another day, but it does show one fact: Fox News is NOT fair or balanced.
